Variegated African Candelabra is a pale-skinned selection of the massive tree Euphorbia that is native to Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Very architectural in appearance, the sturdy trunk is multi-branched and edged with short sharp spines. Fast-growing, it should be given plenty of room and ample space away from walkways with high foot traffic. All parts of Euphorbia are toxic and the milk-like sap created from cutting or breaking the branches can be irritating to the skin. Prefers well-draining soil and protection from hard frosts. Will regrow new branches profusely if minor cold damage occurs.
